Thank you for this great list! If I may, I would like to suggest the book called “Art & Fear” by David Bayles and Ted Orland. It truly changed how I feel about being creative and is chock full of great ideas about how to support your efforts…maybe after you have gotten through your twenty five others! : ) I am very much enjoying my visit to your blog.
Great idea! You’ve inspired me to start a 30 before 30 list. Good luck for ticking off the rest of your items.
My first thought on seeing the photo was “oh my goodness I have that exact same notebook”. The second was that this is a great list! Are you planning on making Spanish or Mexican tortillas? Because if you’re making the Spanish kind, I found a recipe that’s delicious and reliable (I’ve made it at least four times). I’d be happy to pass it on.
Love your lists Leslie. I’m on a similar journey, and even had a 26 before 26 for awhile. Then another blogger, Marcia Richards, contacted me about forming a group to make a support network for all those working on developing themselves or completing goals in the next year – many of them being writers. We formed the Life List Club. Check us out if you’re interested in contributing a guest post at all since from what I’ve read so far you focus on achieving goals, boosting creativity, and are very self aware. Even if you’re just looking for inspiration, I’ve come to love the group of contributing writers in our club, you’ll see lots of SMART and honest advice for being the best you/improving your writing goals. Here’s a link to my page to check out if interested. And I’m looking forward to getting to know you more! http://jesswords10.wordpress.com/the-life-list/
While going through a bout of utter uselessness and sloth, I think I ought to thank you for your post which just inspired me to do something similar as this!!
And despite being a book-lover and book-devourer, I realized that I haven’t read a single book off that list. Tells how futile it is to think that one has read enough at any time in one’s life.
Thank you for the awesome post!!
I’ve just posted my own 40 before 40 list. It’s a work in progress as I am a few short still . . .
You will love “Celebration of Discipline” by Foster, although it will (perhaps) be a slow read.I read some, took time to digest, apply. Then I read the next nugget, digest, apply. Really meaty book.
I love your #1 to do. It’s on my list as well, to master the making of them anyway. Right now they come out like the shape of various states…a bit embarrassing to my mexican heritage.
I LOVE this list (and your blog…absolutely fab). I really should make a list like this
